gemEnterprise™ Modules
The different modules comprising gemEnterpise™ are divided into a Core Modules
set and an Extension Modules set.
Core Modules
Retailer Management
provides a master retailer
repository that synchronizes data with other systems in the enterprise. It
provides a “cradle to grave” tracking of all retailer activity and a historical
audit trail. The Retailer Management module acts as the control center for
all customer relationship management issues, by tracking all communications
with retailers, whether via email, phone or hotline support. Additional
support for chains and key accounts are also offered, since these accounts
have unique requirements.
Retailer Accounting
module provides a central repository
for all retailer accounting across the enterprise. The benefit of this module
is amplified when the Lottery sells on-line, instant and video products using
a combination of transaction systems and vendors. It allows Lotteries to
invoice retailers in a consolidated manner, regardless of how many products
are sold. The Retailer Accounting
module can also be adapted to interface to other standard accounting systems
a Lottery may be using.
Prize Payment and Claims Management
provides a Lottery
with all the functions to efficiently manage the payment or claiming of
prizes. It allows Lotteries to set up a sequence of checks that need to be
performed with other agencies and external systems before authorizing the
payment of larger prizes. It also manages:
- Gaming tax capturing and reporting
- Check printing
- Multiple winners on single tickets
- Jackpot prizes and the calculation of annuity amounts
- Withholding percentages for non-residents
Integrated Game / Product Management
becomes an essential component when Lotteries are using multiple sales channels
for their games and products. It allows the Lottery to have a consolidated view
of a product performance by integrating product data from various sales channels
and gaming transaction servers. This module is primarily used by other gemEnterprise™
components to obtain integrated product data.
Marketing and Sales Module
provides all the marketing information and functions needed by the marketing
organizations within a Lottery. It provides local as well as remote access to
retailer activity ensuring marketing and sales representatives can get all the
information they need for managing their clients. Area and territory managers
can create thresholds on sales and other retailer activity so that they will
automatically be notified when these levels are exceeded.
Management Information / Decision Support
allows Lottery executives to view the information in many different ways so
that they can make informed business decisions. It provides a central view
by bringing together all the pertinent information from all the various systems
and modules within the Lottery enterprise.
Extension Modules
Instant Ticket/Logistics Management
is an optional module that provides physical product logistics support for both
ordinary and secure inventory, including support for Instant Ticket logistics.
Functions include warehousing, inventory, distribution, returns, and
stolen/damaged/lost merchandise. The product can be used in a stand alone
configuration or integrated with existing POS networks and Instant Ticket gaming
transaction systems to provide a single, centralized point of control for all the
lottery's physical product inventory. Significantly, the module can also be coupled
with our separately available gemInstant™ instant ticket game transaction server,
thus forming the basis for a complete Instant Ticket management system.
Player Management and Loyalty
is an optional module that provides player registration and loyalty program support.
In addition to a player registration database, the product supports player cards,
Internet based registration, customized conventional and electronic mailings, automated
winner notification, and other common loyalty functions. The module features open
interfaces to allow connection to existing transaction systems in order to extend the
loyalty programs to Point of Sale (POS) networks and other venues such as interactive
television.
Call Center Support
is an optional module that supports the Lottery's call center function. This module
interfaces with other gemEnterprise™ modules such as Retailer Management and Accounting,
Logistics, and Player Management to provide a complete and integrated call center
automation solution. The module also provides open interfaces to allow the integration
of third party call centers, such as an existing online POS vendor's technical help desk
or an Instant Ticket telemarketing system.
Player Accounting
This optional module works in conjunction with the Player Management and adds a complete
stored value account system, allowing for non-cash lottery transactions and payments. The
addition of this module allows lotteries to have a single player database and accounting system,
regardless of the sales channel, and eliminates the duplication of player data between loyalty
systems, interactive sales channels such as the Internet, subscription systems, and other
applications.
